Fort Worth Mechanic: Improving the Customer Experience

We continued to receive positive reviews every week from satisfied customers.  Priscilla Oglevie made this comment on our Jeffrey’s Automotive Facebook page last week:

Thankfully, I don’t have to drive too far to Jeffrey’s Automotive, but I would! I have been a customer for several years and will continue to choose Jeffrey’s Automotive Repair for my auto repair needs in the future. It is a great feeling to be able to trust that I will be treated honestly and fairly. It is owned and operated by a Christian family who truly live what they believe. It’s always a pleasure to do business with them and to refer others knowing that they will have a great experience, too!

We continue to strive to enhance every customer’s experience – so in addition to the cold soft drink vending machine, we now have our new complimentary hot beverage service! Get your flavored coffees, hot tea or even hot chocolate (for the kids – and adults, too).

Also, if you’ve driven by our automotive repair shop on Denton Hwy, you will notice some construction going on.  We are in the process of remodeling our facade – we’re thrilled about how it is going to transform the look of our main building!  But please note, even during construction, we remain open to help you fix those noisy brakes, check that A/C in this warm weather, or any other maintenance or repair needs for your vehicle.

Customers travel from all over Fort Worth to use Jeffrey's Automotive Repair!

At Jeffrey’s, we hear from customers all the time telling us that they are willing to drive long distances just to use us.  We are blown away by their commitment when we know there are other choices in automotive repair.  As a matter of fact, Kelly Jeffrey Vaughn, Customer Relations, shared this on our Facebook page this past week (click to enlarge the image):

Jeffrey's Automotive - Facebook testimony

He added that specifically he passes 6 different auto repair shops before he reaches Jeffrey’s!   That’s awesome – and humbling.

The following is another review from DemandForce where we have over 350 reviews (and still averaging 4.5 stars!)  We love online reviews like this because it reminds us of the importance of great customer service that we offer our customers at Jeffrey’s (click to enlarge the image):

Jeffrey's Automotive - Online Review

Yet another customer, Ryan, drives 30 miles (through DFW traffic) just to come back to Jeffrey’s his vehicle’s service because of our Christian values (click to enlarge the image):

We have great customers and for 33 years, we have been servicing the vehicles of customers just like this.  We often say, “you know all those great mechanics you’ve been looking for? They all work here at Jeffrey’s Automotive!” We think our customers’ experiences back up this claim.

How Safe Are Your Brakes?

Fort Worth Car Care: How Safe Are Your Brakes?

April showers bring . . .

After the drought of 2011 that hit the Fort Worth area (and most of Texas), it’s been nice to get a little rain lately.  As a matter of fact, I saw one report that said we’re getting over 7″ of rain in April and May.  So this month’s showers will bring more than just a pretty set of flowers for your garden, but also dangerous, wet roads.

In addition to keeping your tires and wiper blades in good condition, make sure your brakes are safe!

At Jeffrey’s, we offer complete car care, including a quality brake inspection. If you are worried about how much a brake check costs, don’t worry!  Click on the button below and schedule your appointment today for your FREE brake check:

Safety In School Zones

Posted by: jeffreysauto | Comments (0)

Watauga Mechanic: Safety in School ZoneA reminder to all of us that a growing number of cities have ordinances banning the use of cell phone, hand-held/mobile devices while in a school zone.  Just yesterday, I witnessed a young lady get pulled over, even though she was at a complete stop at a red light, because she was probably on Facebook on her iPhone.  The officer drove by on his motorcycle looking into each vehicle.  With her head down, she never saw him coming.

Even though you are not moving, the use of such devices is prohibited in Watauga.  According to this excerpt from the city:

(1)     Use of a hand-held mobile telephone is prohibited while operating a motor vehicle in a school zone on official school days and during hours when the school zone is in effect.

(2)     Except as otherwise provided below, it shall be unlawful for a person to drive or operate a motor vehicle in a school zone, on official school days, during the hours when school zones are in effect, and when school zone signs and signs prohibiting hand-held mobile telephone use are posted in place, while using a hand-held mobile telephone to engage in a call or to create, send or read a message.

(3)     An operator of a motor vehicle who holds a mobile telephone to or in the immediate proximity of his or her ear while such vehicle is in motion is presumed to be engaging in a call within the meaning of this section. “Immediate proximity” shall mean that distance as permits the operator of a mobile telephone to hear telecommunications transmitted over such mobile telephone, but shall not require physical contact with such operator’s ear.

You can read the full ordinance here (you might need to search for the phrase “school zone” to jump to that specific section.

Our kids are first and let’s all agree to do what we can to eliminate accidents and to keep our kids safe in their school zones.

Fort Worth Automotive Repair: Our Christian Faith

Recently, one of our customers brought to us a copy of one of our monthly newsletters.   The thing that Ben loved about this month’s newsletter was the picture in the headline.

A family-owned business with a strong commitment of faith, we proclaim our Christian beliefs in many ways through our active involvement in the community, in our Resurrection Celebration newsletter mentioned above, and even on our digital sign’s weekend Scripture messages (we may talk “car talk” during the week, but each weekend a new set of inspirational passages from the Bible are displayed – and we get great comments from customers about this!)

A recent review from Ryan (3/27/12 on our Google Place Page) agrees:

Ryan, 03/27/12, via Google

I have been using Jeffrey’s Automotive for almost 15 years. Andy and crew are extremely professional and will always do whats right by the customer. Jeffrey’s Automotive is not just the shop around the corner….. I have brought my vehicles to them from North Dallas because of their Christian values and the product they provide.

Here’s another:

Fred Johnstone, 6/9/11, Bedford, via Demand Force

I went to Jeffrey’s because I knew it was Christian based. I was really glad I did because I was treated with the utmost respect. The Service Writer was very explicit on what needed to be done and explained everything very well. I was very impressed with the whole operation. But then when God is in it, it always is. I am retired and was in the automotive repair industry for over twenty yrs. There are few places that treat u like this place does. They have a permanent customer from now on. Your employees’ are very outgoing and very friendly. You are so blessed to have them in your work force. I was blessed to have come there.

You can read more by clicking on our testimonial page with hundreds of reviews of satisfied customers.  User your search feature (i.e., CTRL + F) and search for “Christian” and see how many customers mention this.  We are proud to say we are believers in Jesus Christ!

Fort Worth Mechanic: Could You Use Less Brake Noise?

Brakes are essential for your safety, yet most people take them for granted.  Brakes are critical for safe travel on the road, but who really thinks about them on a family road trip?  However, when those brakes start making noise, it’s hard to ignore them.

Well, actually people do ignore them alot more than they should.  They turn up the radio, put on the headphones, or even talk a little louder in hopes that no one around will notice the squeals and screeches.

Sounds silly, right?

Are your brakes making  too much noise?

If you have disc brakes, then your brakes come with a rather simple alert system:  noise.  When it’s time for your pads to be changed, you’ll start to hear your wear indicators scratching along and making a not so pleasant squealing sound.  This needs to be checked immediately!  If you need less noise from your brakes, ditch the headphones and turn down the volume on the car radio.

At Jeffrey’s, we offer complete car care, including a quality brake inspection.  If you are worried about how much a brake check costs, don’t worry!  Click on the button below and schedule your appointment today for your FREE brake check:

Fort Worth Mechanic, Jeffrey's Automotive, Has Great Customers! At Jeffrey’s Automotive, we have thousands of repeat customers and have had some of them for most of the 33 years we’ve been in business here in the north Fort Worth area!   We have some incredible conversations with men and women from all walks of life, and many of you are doing remarkable things in our community and around the world.

We are launching a new series where we feature some of the achievements and contributions of some of our great customers!  This should be alot of fun,  because in lieu of talking about automotive repair, we get to talk about our customers!  They certainly talk alot about us, so now is our chance to turn the tables and brag on you!

Our first feature is our dear friend, Nika Maples, a long time friend of the Jeffrey family.  Nika has an incredible story of courage, perseverance and overcoming all the odds.  She was recently the Texas State Teacher of the Year and just launched her book, “Twelve Clean Pages.”  It’s amazing.

Nika gave us a great review several months ago, and I wanted to share it again with you (click the image below to enlarge the snapshot directly from her review on Insider Pages):

Review from Nika Maples on Insider Pages

But our most recent favorite Nika achievement is when she recently completed the Cowtown 5K in downtown Fort Worth!  Nika, we celebrate this huge accomplishment and rejoice in the way the Lord is using your life to bless so many people.  Thanks for being such a loyal customer but more importantly, a great friend of the Jeffrey family.  Keep inspiring thousands!

When concerned about whether your vehicle needs an alignment, ask these questions:

  • Do you feel the steering wheel shake?
  • Have you recently installed new tires?
  • Have you checked your alignment in the past 3 months?
  • Does your car swerve left or noticeably to the right?

Your vehicle’s suspension system serves a dual purpose – contributing to the vehicle’s handling and braking for good active safety and driving pleasure, and keeping vehicle occupants comfortable and reasonably well isolated from road noise, bumps and vibrations. These goals are generally at odds, so the tuning of suspensions involves finding the right compromise. The suspension also protects the vehicle itself and any cargo or luggage from damage and wear.

Proper alignment geometry will extend not only tire life but also the life of your vehicle’s steering and suspension systems. Alignment problems even affect fuel economy!

While most of our customers don’t know the difference in the types of equipment a mechanic uses to fix their car, we do!  Unlike other automotive repair shops in the area, Jeffrey’s employs two Hunter 811 Laser Wheel Alignment Systems on site ensuring our customers a precision alignment. If you are comparing mechanics, be sure and compare the equipment they use and the state-of-the-art equipment we employ.  It will positively make a difference in the quality of your wheel alignment!

At Jeffrey’s, we can help you eliminate the worry when it comes to your suspension system. Our technicians use the latest technology and equipment to help your vehicle run smooth and safe!
